By Rt. Rev. Peter M. Buss

And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban . . . that Jacob went near and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock . . . Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept.   Genesis 29: 10-11

The whole of the Word is a love story.  It speaks of the marriage between the Lord and His church, an everlasting covenant of love which is freely given and gratefully received.  It tells of the union between true ideas and good feelings, between strong principals and tender concern for others.  It breathes the promise of the love of a man for his wife and hers for him.

Thank you to Kay Alden for a very informative and entertaining presentation:
“Gender Differences in Life-long Learning”
Thursday, March 15

Guest Presenter:

Kay R. Alden, MA
Head of Bryn Athyn College Education Division
Kay Alden is a dynamic speaker with a passion
for education in many settings. She is highly regarded for her classroom teaching at the elementary and college levels, and she currently heads the Education Division of the Bryn Athyn College.

One of her favorite subjects, and the topic of
her MA thesis, is gender differences in learning, not just as it applies to children’s education, but as it relates to adult education and even to marriage relationships. There are important, purposeful reasons why boys and girls, and husbands and wives learn differently and how they make use of what they learn. Her presentation will help you explore the inner, spiritual reasons behind cognitive and behavioral differences between the sexes throughout the life-cycle. Come prepared for an informative and insightful evening!

School Benefit - Saturday March 10

This evening turned out to be a great success!  From the catered dinner, to the silent auction and stage entertainment, all was well orchestrated - and everyone had a wonderful time!  Attendance was significantly up from last year's event, and our guests were very generous.  Our thanks, in particular, to Nathaniel Brock who made this event happen.  He brought many volunteers together to create an amazing evening.
